Privacy note
Private by default.
SayDue's first live build stores planner data in the browser on this device. It does not create accounts, sell student data, or upload saved tasks to a SayDue database. Voice capture sends only short audio clips for transcription when you tap Start voice.
What is stored
Tasks, due dates, classes, checklist steps, settings, and exported data are saved with localStorage in the current browser.
What is not stored on our servers
This version does not have a SayDue server database. If you clear browser data, switch devices, or use a private browsing window, saved tasks may disappear unless you export them first.
Voice capture
In the iOS TestFlight app, voice capture records a short audio clip only after you tap Start voice. The clip is sent through SayDue's Vercel API route to OpenAI for transcription, then SayDue puts the transcript in the brain dump box for review. SayDue does not save the audio clip to a database. Typing still works if you do not want to use voice.
Local reminders
In the iOS TestFlight app, SayDue can ask permission to schedule local device reminders for due tasks. These reminders are created on the device and are not sent from a SayDue server.
Optional AI parsing
The default parser runs in the browser. If you choose smarter parsing, SayDue sends only the text currently in the brain dump to the OpenAI API through SayDue's Vercel API route so it can structure tasks. SayDue limits smarter parsing and voice transcription per browser per day, with higher daily limits for SayDue Pro.
Purchases and subscriptions
SayDue Pro purchases are handled by Apple In-App Purchase. Apple processes payment, renewal, cancellation, and subscription management. SayDue can read whether a Pro subscription is active so the app can unlock Pro usage limits, but SayDue does not receive or store credit card numbers or Apple ID passwords.
Terms of Use
SayDue uses Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Read the Terms of Use (EULA).
Anonymous analytics and feedback
If Vercel Web Analytics is enabled, SayDue may collect anonymous page views and product events such as app opened, parsing used, tasks saved, or feedback shared. These events do not include brain dump text, task titles, notes, student names, school names, or grades. Feedback opens a prefilled email to SayDue support or lets you copy the note. SayDue does not save feedback to a database in this build.
Students
Use nicknames instead of full names. Do not enter school names, teacher names, private family details, grades, medical details, account passwords, or anything you would not want stored in this browser.
